Travellers Who Work Full Time: Christine

Christine from NYC Jetsetter also makes the most of holidays and leaves through the year, and when it all gets a bit overwhelming, reminds herself that this is what she's passionate about. Someday she hopes to be her own boss! We've interviewed her among other travellers who work full time as a part of our weeklong initiative "Don't Quit Your Job, And Travel" in the hope that we'll inspire other travellers with full time jobs, that it is indeed doable.

How do you manage to squeeze out actual travel time?

I work full time but I try my best to take a trip every chance I get! There's a lot of opportunities during long weekends, holiday breaks, summer vacation, etc that I take advantage of. I've went on 10 trips this year!

How do you balance your day job and blogging?

Sometimes it is hard and I will admit once and a while I might fall behind if I am very busy with work. I love blogging though. I enjoy doing this and don't mind writing or doing work on my site on the weekends. That is usually when I have the most time to do it.

Has either suffered?

Thankfully neither has suffered so far. Although I know if I blogged full time my site would definitely be larger but I am still happy where it is right now.

Ever had a breakdown or thought you bit off more than you can chew?

Sometimes I definitely feel overwhelmed but I try to remember that this is what I am passionate about!

Do you intend on quitting your job to travel full time?

My goal is to leave my job and do this full time. Hopefully one day I can be my own boss!!
